About Me

Beth Fortune, Interior Designer

As a vacation rental owner, I know what it takes to get eyes on your listing, get the best rates, and get booked. As an interior designer with hospitality experience, I also know some of the things the top hotel brands do to streamline operations, tell a brand story, and exceed expectations. Whether I’m designing a multi-unit building or a humble cottage, my passion is designing properties that perform, and helping owners become successful entrepreneurs.

I’ve been a designer my entire career, first in marketing and advertising, and later as a photo and film stylist, but remodeling my first vacation rental changed everything for me. That project led to a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and a design position at Hirsch-Bedner Associates, the largest hospitality design firm in the world.

Working on multi-billion dollar hotel projects helped me become a better designer and project manager, but turning short-term rentals into spaces that rival boutique hotels are my true passion. I founded Wildheart Design in 2019 to help other small business owners compete in this rapidly growing and changing industry.

I am a member of several professional organizations and regularly participate in continuing education opportunities, trade events, and conferences in the interior design, vacation rental, and hospitality industries in an effort to bring the latest ideas and products to my clients.

I am also a frequent traveler and find that being a guest is the best way to learn how to be a great host.
