You don’t need me to tell you that there’s a lot to do when you start a vacation rental business. Getting your place furnished and equipped is huge, but that’s not all. How it works:
- Schedule a free 20-minute call to discuss your goals and what we could accomplish in a 90-minute session. Don’t worry, this isn’t a sales pitch, and I will be honest about whether or not a Strategy Session is the best way to go.
- Book a 90-minute Strategy Session. This will be a video call.
- Email me the information I may have asked for on our first call. Examples: a link to your listing, a real-estate listing, a Pinterest board, or a floorplan.
- We meet over Zoom or similar. As we develop solutions and the next steps to achieve your goals, I may share links and photos with you, suggest other resources to look up after our meeting, or ask you to walk me through your property.
- I’ll send a follow-up email with a written summary of our meeting, the next steps, and links to any resources I might have mentioned.
- You’ll write me back and share your success!

How it works:
- Schedule a free 20-minute call to talk about your goals and whether a Designed DIY package would be the best fit for you. We’ll talk about your property, your location, your schedule, and your goals.
- I’ll send you a proposal outlining exactly what I’ll deliver with your package. This is customized for your goals and needs. For example, one person may want to research furniture on their own with my drawings and specifications as guidance, while another may want a list with links that allow them to purchase all of their furniture in an afternoon. You’ll read through my proposal, sign, and pay online.
- I will send you an easy online questionnaire that will help you tell me what your needs and preferences are for your project.
- I will send you instructions for photographing and measuring your project.
- We’ll have an onboarding video chat to confirm that we’re on the same page for your vacation rental, that I’m going in the design direction you like, and to answer any questions you might have.
- It’s Design Presentation time! On a video call, I’ll walk you through your design plan with 2D and 3D drawings, furniture selections, paint and material suggestions, next steps, and a budget. After our meeting, I’ll email you a PDF of your presentation to review on your own.
- You’ll let me know if you’d like to see any changes to your design plan. I’ll make them, then send you your final design plan with detailed instructions on how to put everything together.
- I won’t leave you hanging! If you have questions or hit a snag along the way, you’ll message me for help.
- You’ll show me photos of your amazing new space!

You Don’t Have Time for DIY
If you need results and you don’t have time, or your project is too big for DIY, consider 1-on-1 consulting.
This is full-service design in which my team and I will handle everything from concept to construction drawings, procurement to placing the final accessory. You may want to consider this if:
- You live far away from your vacation rental and aren’t able to spend a lot of time there
- You want to develop a luxury rental (with nightly rates to match)
- You do not have the time and/or interest to shop, order, receive shipments, inspect, return, re-select, and all of the other things necessary to put a design project together
- You have a multi-unit property and you need a designer to make timely, cohesive, impactful, and cost-effective decisions
- It’s not your first rodeo and you’d rather poke out your own eyes than furnish another property
